Le Centre FrancoPaix de la Chaire Raoul-Dandurand, l'Association canadienne sur la sécurité climatique (ACSC-CSAC) et l'Information Integrity Lab de l'Université d'Ottawa organisent le colloque «Le changement climatique et le futur de la guerre et de la paix», qui se tiendra du 5 au 7 mai à Montréal.
Cet évènement vise à explorer les possibilités et les limites des imaginaires et des prédictions des futurs climatiques, précisément en ce qui concerne le futur de la guerre et de la paix. Il permettra d'examiner comment les cadres conceptuels et prédictifs liés au changement climatique influencent les trajectoires de la guerre et de la paix, ainsi que d'aborder des questions soulevées par le pouvoir des imaginaires sur la préparation et la gestion de la guerre et de la paix. Enfin, il s'agira d'examiner l’influence de diverses technologies, pratiques, politiques et imaginaires sociotechniques.

The Centre FrancoPaix of the Chaire Raoul-Dandurand, the Canadian Association for Climate Security (ACSC-CSAC) and the Information Integrity Lab of the University of Ottawa are organizing the conference “Climate Change and the Futures of War and Peace”, to be held from May 5 to 7 in Montreal.
This event aims to explore the possibilities and limits of imaginaries and predictions of climate futures, specifically as they relate to the future of war and peace. It will examine how conceptual and predictive frameworks related to climate change influence the trajectories of war and peace, as well as address questions raised by the power of imaginaries on the preparation and management of war and peace. Finally, we will examine the influence of various technologies, practices, policies and socio-technical imaginaries.
