Chercheur postdoctoral à l’université du Göteborg, Jean Lachapelle est également membre associé à l'Observatoire sur le Moyen-Orient et l'Afrique du Nord de la Chaire Raoul-Dandurand de l'Université du Québec à Montréal. Ses intérêts de recherche portent sur la mobilisation populaire et la répression en contexte autoritaire.
