Has Trump changed course on China? Winds certainly shifted

To say that U.S.-China relations have been on shaky ground since Donald Trump’s election would be an understatement.

The first sign of trouble surfaced on Dec. 2 when then-President-elect Trump took a call from Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, angering the Chinese, who view high-level contacts with Taiwan as undermining their claim to the island.
